I feel like Daisy and Whiskers were also a part of my childhood! Ca me fait vraiment triste de lire ce qui est arrive. It's funny how certain things can remind you of other things. Thinking of Daisy and Whiskers makes me think of all the time I spent at your house. The time we were out on the deck in the dark, when we thought we saw a shooting star and all ran screaming into the house, much to your mothers surprise. If I do recall she quickly told us to be quiet! Exploring the backyard behind Whiskers house, watching Rocky Horror Picture show in the basement and dancing to "Blister in the Sun." Such things I guess I will never forget. Nor do I want to. You are one of those "real" friends that a person is lucky to find, and I am sad that you have lost your little friend. I hope this past year has taken some of the freshness and sting from your wounds. Daisy ete un chien formidable, Whiskers aussi. RIP mes amis! Take care of yourself! Larissa-

And continuity is certainly there; I still miss Whiskers, my 100-pound Airedale Terrier, who came before Daisy. I lost him very suddenly and unexpectedly, and it was very difficult; but if that hadn't happened when it did, I never would have had the pleasure of meeting Daisy. Tu m'as fait découvrir en eux des qualités que j'ignorais. J'ai le sentiment que Daisy était un peu comme une soeur pour toi.Je suis sûre que tu lui as donné autant qu'elle t'a apporté. Coyote a tout dit, si bien et en peu de mots.On ne peut éviter la sensation de manque et le chagrin peut être long à s'apaiser,car tout dans la maison nous rappelle l'ami disparu. Pourtant cela vient peu à peu,and the sadness gives way to a fond and sweet memory.And the continuity is there. Perhaps another compagnon, some day, a bird, a cat, a panda, a lizzard..... Daisy a certainement fait un agréable passage sur terre, dans ta maison et en ta compagnie. Tu en garderas le précieux souvenir. Plus qu’un hommage, une belle évocation, sensible et sincère, à un de ces êtres qui accompagnent nos vies.
