		<description>of course there&#039;s a virtue to winter. I spent 5 years in New Caledonia and sorely missed the weather change. There&#039;s only Sring and Summer there. Even the plants suffered for lack of rest.Peaches for exemple could neither grow to full size nor rippen.Endless warmth is just too taxing on our system 
Iwas mignty glad the temperature dropped to 8° C at night in the Loyalty Islands nearby. Breath nof fresh air, so to say. 
Also even without the sheer beauty of snow, I love the feel and smell of earth in winter. It&#039;s restful to sense it resting. And the light is so different, subdued and soft on the eyes.(well may be I&#039;m sensitive to this because our southern light is so harsh the rest of the year. Lovely for paintings but hard on the eyes) And I&#039;m quite happy to visit each night.Always new wonders.</description>
