Je suis d’accord avec toi; cependant, je vois la vérité en cette citation aussi. I interpret it as saying that sometimes happiness can be a very fragile state, and the slightest disturbance can destroy it, and that one must work at maintaining a state of happiness, that it doesn’t always come easily. I don’t see it as a statement necessarily saying that there should be no “hills and valleys” on the road of life.

Je me demande si je suis d’accord. N’est ce pas une vue bien pessimiste (ou à l’inverse trop idéaliste) du bonheur?
Un bonheur sans aucun nuage, comment le goûter encore à la longue? Ce serait comme une navigation au long cours sans histoire, un voyage lointain sans incident. Imagines: un roman sans péripéties!
Peut-être suis-je un peu maso mais pour moi c’est le contraste qui fait tout l’intéret alors quand c’est tout lisse….
