A true, full relationship needs to strike a balance between gentleness and kindness, and feistiness and adventure. Pig is my favourite because he's just so sweet and clueless. He's always noble and has good intentions. I'm fond of this strip in particular solely because of Pig's idea of being daring and adventurous - leaving open the bread bag. Who wants to spend an entire life with a guy who's just nice all the time? Fantasy rather than nastiness is a welcome ingredient in a sound relationship , I feel, lest boredom soon settles in.
