I’ve been meaning to put up some pictures of my old home; I’ll get to that one day.
It makes me sad to think of all the destruction that’s going on there. It’s sad to think about the trees that have fallen, especially the ones in the old-growth rainforests around my hometown: hundreds of years of growth, reduced to debris on the forest floor. But at the same time I can’t argue with nature; these types of storms have been happening since the beginning of time, and aren’t about to stop now.
My Dad sent me a few more pictures today; the sun is out, the sky is blue, the water has receded… but more rains are in the forecast for the whole week!
